The new versatile Turbocast 1000™ Gritter provides multi-action, even spread. It can be used as a broadcast spreader or as a drop spreader. When broadcast spreading, it covers a large area quickly with minimum passes. The dual spinner plates provide an even and consistent spread*. Turbocast 1000 converts from a broadcast spreader into a direct drop spreader with unique twin side deflectors. Drop spreading can be accurately controlled, eliminating any waste. Alternatively, by using one side deflector, the broadcast spread can be limited to one side only.

Turbocast 1000 Gritter has 3 spread rate adjustment settings. These have been selected to follow recommended guidelines set by the Highways Agency, for precautionary, intermediate and priority gritting.

Turbocast 1000 can be supplied with either a ball hitch or pin hitch (please specify your choice when ordering), so can be used with a number of towing vehicles; e.g. vans and trucks, two and four wheel driven tractors (with the pin hitch option), or passenger cars. (Please refer to the towing vehicle's manufacturer's handbook under towing/trailer weight recommendations.)

* The spread width and consistency will vary dependent on the moisture content of the grit/salt.
